Sponge Fingers On My Mind

I’ve got sponge fingers on my mind
At the buffet I place my hand on the clingfilm
A useless trampoline
It sticks to me as I jump up
And down
Everyone is in the front room
But I’m not there
I am here and I am back flipping
Bounce and tuck
Bounce and pike
Into crystal clear water
A sandy bed decorated with urchin shells and dead kelp
A road leading deep inside the Earth’s mantle
I’m so hot, it’s so hot

Sponge fingers running through my hair
Sponge fingers stroke my face
Sponge fingers in my eyes
Bloodied raspberries sliding down my neck
